Color and bold design define her art Working in acrylics, Maribeth creates paintings on canvas, furniture, mannequins, wall murals,
wooden bowls and decorative accessories. Maribeth's favorite subjects are fruits, vegetables, flowers - especially the large O'Keeffe-like
florals - and contemporary designs.
Maribeth is a Wisconsin artist working out of her home studio. Mostly self-taught, she attended the Layton School of Art and various art
classes at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Milwaukee. Maribeth's work has been represented by the Cudahy Gallery of Wisconsin
Art, at the Milwaukee Art Museum, The Tory Folliard Gallery, the DeLind Fine Art Gallery, Gallery 1, and shops throughout the
Milwaukee area as well as Lake Geneva, Door County and Naples Florida.
Her work has won various awards and contests, as well as press coverage in the Milwaukee Journal. Her painted furniture was featured
in Midwest Living magazine. Her art has been featured in various benefits including the Wisconsin Aids Foundation, Cancer House,
Channel 10 Milwaukee Public Television, and friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens.
In 2008-2009, she painted O'Keeffe florals on bowls for the Ansel Adams/O'Keeffe shows at the Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach,
Florida, and the SFMOMA, San Francisco, California.
